Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Sola uptime monitoring service. By using Sola, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Permitted Use
Sola is intended for legitimate monitoring of internet-connected services, including:
Websites, APIs, and web applications you own or operate
Services hosted on behalf of your customers (agencies and resellers)
Internal infrastructure and private endpoints using our agent
SSL certificates, DNS records, and cron jobs
Prohibited Use
Unauthorized Monitoring
You may not use Sola to monitor:
Endpoints, domains, or services you do not own or have explicit written permission to monitor
Government or critical infrastructure systems without authorization
Services belonging to competitors for the purpose of commercial intelligence gathering
Network Abuse
You may not use Sola's monitoring infrastructure to:
Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
Perform unauthorized load testing or stress testing of third-party systems
Probe or scan networks for security vulnerabilities without permission
Generate excessive or abusive traffic to any endpoint
Malicious Activity
You may not use the Service to:
Facilitate hacking, phishing, or other cyberattacks
Monitor endpoints for the purpose of timing attacks or exploiting outages
Harvest or scrape data from monitored endpoints
Circumvent security measures on any system
Commercial Restrictions
Without written permission from Sola, you may not:
Resell or sublicense access to the Service
Use the Service to build a competing monitoring product
Reverse engineer or replicate Sola's monitoring infrastructure
Status Page Responsibility
If you use Sola's public status page feature, you are responsible for ensuring the information displayed is accurate and not misleading to your customers. You may not use status pages to make false claims about service availability.
Enforcement
We monitor for violations of this policy. If we detect or receive a report of a violation, we may:
Issue a warning and require corrective action
Temporarily suspend monitoring for specific endpoints
Suspend or terminate your account
Report violations to relevant law enforcement authorities

If you believe someone is using Sola in violation of this policy, please contact us at abuse@sola.com with details of the suspected violation.
Updates
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
